The Origin Story
For 8 years, I was a field service technician for gas stations across Oklahoma. I diagnosed Gilbarco dispensers at 2 AM, troubleshot Veeder-Root tank monitors in the rain, and watched service companies charge station owners thousands for problems I could fix in 20 minutes.
I was good at my job. Really good. I built systems to track customers, employees, and billing in SharePoint. I documented every error code, every troubleshooting sequence, every piece of tribal knowledge that lived only in the heads of senior techs.
Then I was fired. Over a camera in my truck cab blocked by air fresheners. That's the corporate black box—decisions made behind closed doors, without transparency, without accountability.
